Legacy Index

A 100-point, title-weighted ranking built from the historical data we actually have. It rewards rings first, then finals appearances, manager regular-season performance, playoff wins, and longevity, while applying a modest last-place penalty.

How the Legacy Index is calculated

A 100-point, title-weighted index for managers with a reconciled regular-season manager record and verified playoff results. It blends championships, verified runner-up finishes, regular-season win rate, playoff wins, regular-season longevity, 2025 scoring/form, and recorded last-place penalties.

  • Championships: up to 35 points (8.75 each, capped at four)
  • Verified runner-up finishes: up to 15 points (5 each, capped at three)
  • Manager regular-season win rate: up to 20 points (scaled from 40% to 60%)
  • Playoff wins: up to 10 points (full credit at 25 wins)
  • Regular-season longevity: up to 10 points (full credit at 11 seasons)
  • 2025 points-for percentile: up to 5 points
  • 2025 regular-season wins percentile: up to 5 points
  • Recorded toilet-bowl last place: minus 2.5 points each, capped at minus 7.5

The 2025 form component exists because detailed historical player-week scoring is not yet fully imported. The manager record and playoff metrics now come from the reconciled season standings and playoff matchup archive; the model can be expanded as older detailed scoring data is added.

Not yet ranked: Al (1 title), Tyler Friend (1 title). These managers stay in the Ring Wing but do not receive a Legacy score until their manager regular-season record is reconciled.

Archive philosophy

No invented history

The site can be playful without pretending incomplete records are complete. Historical titles and punishments come from reconciled source material; detailed game and scoring records currently lean heavily on the complete 2025 import.

The Legacy Index follows the same rule. Its methodology is visible, managers missing career-record data remain unranked, and the model can be upgraded rather than silently rewriting history.

Verified finals archive

Championship history

The archive distinguishes verified facts from missing historical fields. A blank score is not being inferred.

Legacy Index v1 is intentionally transparent, not final. The reconciled manager record and playoff results now provide the all-time foundation, while the detailed 2025 import supplies the current form component. Once older standings, playoff and matchup records are reconciled, the model can shift weight away from 2025 and toward career regular-season dominance, playoff wins and true historical points performance.
